- Arrive at the Lecture Theatre (LT) by 12:30 pm sharp. Positively carry a pen with you.
- The Quiz will be held in teams of 2, everyone is requested to pre-decide their partners before appearing at the venue. Individual participation will not be allowed.
- Keep your mobile phones and smart watch switched off and keep it on your desk until we say otherwise.
- Show us your Game ID Card when you arrive, and we'll give you a sheet to get started. Don't forget to write your name and roll number clearly!
- As a Tech Quiz, all questions will be directly/indirectly tech related. Study up on such topics and tidbits, like the first inventions of their kind, or recent events in the Tech world.
- Lastly, go through the Rules and Regulations given below in order to avoid confusion during the event.
Rules and Regulations for Tech Quiz 2K26
Selection Round
1. Teams must answer 10 questions in a given sheet. Time limit per question is 10-seconds.
Results of Selection will be announced after a 5-10 minute interval. The top 10 teams will advance to the next round.
Individual Round
1. This round comprises 10 questions, with one question assigned to each team.
2. Each question has a 20-second time limit to answer.
3. The initially addressed team will respond orally, while other teams may answer in writing only if they choose.
4. Scoring for this round is as follows:
- Correct oral answers: +10 points
- Incorrect oral answers: 0 points
- Correct written answers: +5 points
- Incorrect written answers: -5 points
Top 5 teams from this round will move to the next round. Points earned from this round will be carried over to the next round.
Buzzer round will be facilitated using the buzzer app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.calidad.buzzer . Finalists will be requested to download the app before starting the next round.
Buzzer Round
1. After each question, teams(any one member) will press the buzzer to respond. The first team to press the buzzer will have the opportunity to answer.
2. If the answer is incorrect, the question will be passed to the next team who pressed the buzzer.
3. Scoring for this round is as follows:
- Correct answers: +20 points
- Incorrect answers: -10 points
4. The top three scorers will receive the highest honors.
Tiebreaker
1. In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker question will be asked.
